Hmmm...9-11 and I am flying into LaGuardia later this morning. Headed to a Wildlife Preserve on Long Island. It's a mystery...I have been referred by a well known wildlife biologist. Have spoken with the preserve manager three times on the phone. Ordinarily, I do quite a bit of homework, looking at the property on TerraServer or googleearth.com, etc. And, I try to get as much history as I can from the landowner. Not this time. Coming in blind, meeting with the manager to come up with a game plan to improve several small ponds, two or three which are fresh water and other which are influenced by brackish water. Back home Wednesday. Should be another cool adventure.
