Without aeration or springs southern ponds stratify in summer (no Oxygen at deep depths) so fish won't go deep. They will go to deep structure from fall to late spring. The structure archive has lots of info. https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=92463#Post92463
