I don't think there is one answer. The dye will make different waters look different colors based on the color of the base water that you are starting out with. There is a company that makes green dye, but you can also get varying shades of blue by mixing blue and black dyes together. Unfortunately, with the length of time that dye stays in a pond, correcting an oops will take a long time and the amount of dye used the following year might be different than the previous year.
