It’s a small field. And I’ve only got 62 acres total. We do pretty well with turkeys, and have one covey now. I don’t plan on ever hunting quail here.
I put rye and wheat in the food plots earlier this fall. Hopefully they’ll help with turkeys this spring. Our bean fields, where our one covey hangs out, is getting converted to CRP this spring. I’m not sure how that’s going to impact deer and turkey. The deer sure love those beans. Actually the green tops of the plants.
