Instead of mixed seedings, I might try multiple different plots. In addition to trying to find your deer's favorite foods that are available at the start of hunting season, add some forage to support deer on your farm during the off season.

There are some rental places around me that have seed drills. Those are mostly set up for grass seed sizes.

Our county extension service does have a no-till drill available for rent.

You might do some research and see if there is some equipment available that would expand your planting choices.

Another option is to pay a neighbor that has the proper equipment. For example, if you have a neighbor that plants soy beans, ask what the charge would be to plant two passes of beans in your forage plots on the same day he is doing his field. (You could prep your ground with your small tractor before he comes to plant.)
