My cataracts caused so much glare at night that I could not drive safely anymore. My cataracts were on the back of my lenses which apparently grow faster than other kinds. When they shined lights in my eyes and asked me to read the smallest line of letters, I could not even tell there were any letters there... Driving with one eye at night (until I get my second eye done) requires me to close the non-fixed eye so that the starbursts of light don't overpower the fixed eye. I just did not realize how bad things had gotten. When it comes to surgeries, I tend to push things out as far as possible, but I don't recommend this approach to others...
