They must transform into toads very quickly. Either that or they are hiding in the pond weed. The pond weed is taking off again this year. I like the level of pondweed showing in your picture. Too bad you can't just wave a magic wand and set the level at exactly the correct amount of cover for your small fish!

P.S. I also like your forest pond look! But then again, my property is in the middle of the prairie.
