I spent the whole day mowing at the farm yesterday, but not around the pond. I got to the pond for a few minutes, and I did notice that all the little black toad tadpoles are gone. They must transform into toads very quickly. Either that or they are hiding in the pond weed. The pond weed is taking off again this year. I suspect I’ll eventually end up with it all the way around the pond. Hope it helps my YP fry to survive.
