I have naiad, pbd. Seems to be spreading & flourishing around the country lately. Your pics look like it, but hard to be sure.

My BOW is much smaller than yours, so a couple of years ago I had the water treated with a herbicide that killed most of the southern naiad. It came back the following spring, but was much more manageable. I need some plant cover, so long as it doesn't get out of hand.

For a 60 acre lake, 25 acres being vulnerable, grass carp probably makes the most sense. Be absolutely certain to identify the pond weed, preferably by a professional, before taking any measures. Grass carp don't eat all weeds, and once you put them in, it's hard to get them out!
