Jeff:

Objective is to get a good representative idea of the fish in the pond. It doesn't matter if they will bite a hook or not, they will be stunned and depending on the water visibility they can be scooped up with a net and placed in a live well on the boat. You turn the juice on and motor around the perimeter of the pond. Depending on the conductivity of the water and how the unit is adjusted, it affects a swath that is 6'-8' wider than the boat and goes down 4+ feet. We did a 4 acre pond and a 1/2 acre pond in 4 hours start to finish, including talking for a while with the pond owner. Some fish were netted and removed, some fish were left in but noted, some fish were netted, weighed, measured and released back into the pond. It doesn't matter if the fish are 1/2" long or 30+" long, they will be stunned and can be netted.

Cost all depends on travel time and miles.

For instance, we removed all crappie and catfish we stunned. There was a huge class of 4"-6" LMB, we removed about 50% of what we observed.

In the 1/2 acre pond, which was supposed to be a forage grow out pond for the larger one, we observed a big swirl when we pulled up. So, we plopped the boat in and pulled out a ton of 1 1/2" Bluegills saw 2 GSH, and pulled out a few 10"-12" LMB. Told the owner that he should pull the plug on the forage pond, letting everything flush into the bigger pond, then let the forage pond fill up to cover any depressions, then Rotenone it and start over. They had a 7" rain in less than 24 hours and the forage pond (which is actually a silt trap pond) overflowed the berm into the big pond. We can only assume a few LMB and at least a pair of BG swam upstream into the silt pond.
