I've come to realize that it is impossible to trap enough BG out of my pond to control the numbers.

Most of it is too deep to be able to drag a seine. The cedar trees, rock piles, and rip-rap further complicate attempting that.

I'm contemplating the purchase of an high-frequency invertor. Amazon has several offerings in the $400-$600 range that I
believe would be appropriately sized for my pond.

Do any of you guys have experience with small-medium sized fish shocker devices?

What got me thinking about this... daughter finished her under-grad work in May, and got a summer job with the MO Dept
of Conservation. Her crew is doing small stream fish surveys in the bootheel area of MO this summer. They use portable
shock packs to stun the fish so they can net them for species ID, weights and measures, etc. But her boss is stingy and
won't let her bring one home to help out poor old taxpayer Dad on the weekends. So I got to thinking (dangerous, I know)
that maybe I ought to just have one of my own to use whenever I want to use it.
