Question, the pond you are looking to stock with black bass is it located in Virginia ? If the pond receives an moderate ice over it will kill off Florida Bass stocked. Florida Bass do not survive well north of the mason dixon line. I would recommend stocking a cross of a Florida Bass with a Northern Bass that can survive much further north.
