Greetings Pondmeisters, I had a fish kill last summer and lost a lot of fish. I'd like to turn this into an opportunity if I am able. There are two ponds near here that were stocked in the early 80's with uncharistic looking black bass. Those two ponds gave me some of the best fishing I've had in a farm pond and that experience was instrumental in my decision to build a pond of my own. My pond is roughly the same size and shape as those two. The property has changed hands and the new owner is firmly against anyone fishing in his ponds. I met the former owner by chance in a Dr. office and learned that the black bass are from the Lake Okeechobee, Fl. area. I want these particular bass as much because of the way they look as well as their fighting spirit. Does anyone know where I can buy some of these fish?
