LOL Indiana has (at least for as long as I can remember) allowed "high powered" rifle cartridges in pistols. .243 up to 50 BMG if you could handle it in a pistol. Both public and private ground. The "High Powered" rifles are only allowed on private ground the past few years.

I think it's funny. All the big arguments about how the deer herd will be decimated and how many people and buildings will be shot the first season that they allow "High Powered" rifles. The deer harvest really didn't change at all, and there were no instances of someone/something getting shot.
