Not sure bout the brand. Will look and see if it has a brand name on it. I think the Cutrine Plus prolly helped the most for sure. Raking does make a huge difference also. Yeah I used a yard rake at first also. If I would have used a pool skimmer I would have been cleaning it all the time. Prolly would have burnt up a few pumps also. Wish I would have took pictures before I started removing it. It was prolly covering half the pond or so.
