Rod, I'll just say this about that night. One of the two of us was lucid, and a swiftwater rescue instructor, who is blessed with incredible spidey senses when things are about to go south. A 12' aluminum deck boat with aluminum lawn chairs loaded arm rest to arm rest, and rocking if anybody already on the boat took a small breath, activated those super powers. It was time to scat.
