Thank everyone for all the tips and ideas. This year will be alot different then the past years for me. The pond is full and just bout 2 hit the over flow spot (within inches). Lots more plants than last year and plan on adding more varieties also. I know I want some kind of lillies or lotus. Also going to make some floating islands at some point. Thinking about making 1 or more with just water hyacinth in it. Maybe like hula hoop size.
Rusto, I'd think twice before adding water hyacinths. They are highly invasive & can take over a lake incredibly fast. Nearly ruined one of my favorite Texas cattle tanks, almost got unfishable.
