You will be fine with the 5/8" tubing for that length of run. Do some searching on how long the pump will last, and how many hours run time before a rebuild is needed. 0523 will run for approximately 20,000 hours before needing a rebuild, but it also needs to be kept cool by air flowing around the outside of the compressor.
Calculate the lifting rates of the Matala diffusers vs. the vertex diffusers. You want the volume of the water brought to the surface by the diffusers to at the minimum be equal to the water volume in the pond.
