My wife and I are considering making an offer on a house located on a 50-acre lake. The Homeowner's Association manages the lake and applies a "natural solution" to the aquatic weeds twice a year. The edge of the lake is currently filled with what I'm pretty sure is coontail (see attached photos).
Based on your experience, if I rake out the coontail, how long can I expect the raked area to remain relatively coontail-free? I know that no one can provide an exact answer, but I'm just trying to get a feel for how quickly coontail grows. Could I expect to clean out the area once per year? Twice a year?

- Located in Kentucky - Water depth of affected area is up to 10' - Neighboring property is also affected by the coontail - Very little current - Mostly sunny
