Pros - at a higher density they will keep the FA, phytoplankton and submerged vegetation well controlled and are good fish food. Plant control would be due to excess turbidity created by abundant crayfish foraging for food. Cons - at higher density they will make the pond more turbid. Swimmers and aesthetic reasons usually prefer clearer water.
