bh are pretty easy to catch this time of year.....very hard to catch prespawn and spawn time. 3x1 or 3x.1.5 opening in a cloverleaf will catch anything from a 5" - 13" bullhead. I usually bait with dog food w/o any problems. Placement is much more important than bait in the trap. Place on toward the shallow end of a gentle drop off, near shade/cover where you know they are feeding. Drop down a bit as water temps increase. Get some cheap fish feed and hand feed daily over the trap.
