Here in Northern Indiana we don't stock trout until the Fall and only when water temps have cooled down to 60°F. The trout survive until water temps hit the 70°F mark in late May to early July, depending on the year.
I have found that in my personal pond, aerating with the trout in the pond once the water starts to get warmer does more harm than good - unless the aeration system puts a LOT of O2 into the water, then trout will live even in mid to upper 70°F temp water. (Oxygen levels are as saturation levels).
I have tried the "only aerate when the night time temps are below 70°F" method and that has not kept the trout alive for any appreciable longer length of time than aerating 24/7.
