Flame, can you weight you thermos and get it to bottom in say- 6ft of water?? Let it sent on bottom for 3-5 min, rip it in and read quickly, maybe subtract 1-2 degs for ripping it up through warmer water/air. My pond is about 52 at the 10' mark but 86 on the surface.
