Donno, I put trout in my pond yearly and have YP in there too. I can target the YP vs the trout by using different lures and fishing different areas. I catch trout on spoons and spinners, I've caught large YP on a 4" jerk bait with a 3/0 or 4/0 hook....... Also caught trout AND YP on Stubby Steves.
