I have considered a lake matt but I was thinking of using a tarp, staked out to where it blocked all the sunlight under the tarp. But, I started with 3 and a third grass carp per acre last fall but added an additional five of them to the pond recently. I added them because I was loosing ground and gaining BPW with the mild winter we had this year. It covers at least 50% of the pond and I see it growing even in the deepest part of the pond. I am no fan. Snrub, hope my GC put a good dent in my bpw like they did yours.
