I cleaned six more yesterday. So, about 25 so far this spring. The fillets are six or seven inches long.
My wife fries them up. Dipped in buttermilk, then crusted in cornmeal. I’m sure not the healthiest way to cook them, but they are so good.
Trying to keep only males, but the later into spring we get, the more difficult it is to tell them apart.

RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (going away), SMB, and HSB (only one seen in 5 yrs) Restocked HSB (2020) Have seen one of these.
I think that's about all I should put in my little pond.
