I feed my fish year round. obviously I cut the amount back in the winter. Rain or shine no matter how cold my fish still come to the feed. I have an automatic feeder, in the summer I feed 15 seconds twice a day and in the winter I feed 3 seconds twice a day. They would eat more than I feed in the winter, but I'm just trying to maintain them and give them a jump start for spring. Like some others have said I base the amounts of feed based off the feeding activity of the fish.
