Had a blast with the rainbow trout today! Finger numbing cold didn't stop them feeding & biting at all, we kept two nice ones for dinner. One was north of 2 lbs, the other close. Great fights, the larger one actually bent the hook & we were lucky to net it.

Kept 4 smaller bass, released 3 good ones. Biggest was maybe 20 inches, but very fat, probably female full of eggs. We also caught 3 hybrid stripers, released all. Oddly, we had zero luck on bluegill.

They are still feeding, but now it seems like the trout, stripers, and largemouth are dominating. My buddy's wife absolutely loves trout, she's gonna be thrilled tonight.

PS Saw bald eagle on patrol, also a couple of nasty cormorants hung around for a while.
