Golden shiners eat bass eggs and rob nests of eggs. Keep that into consideration.

You might consider stocking crayfish as an alternate food source


If GSH eat bass eggs in large numbers then I would think that would be the best possible outcome. LMB seem to outcompete everything and it seems everyone struggles to keep the total number of LMB at a number that prevents stunting of the hundreds of 12" LMB

I think it has been said on this forum that the concern with GSH is eating the stage of fish that come right AFTER the nests (swimming fry) and that would be a concern with certain species of fish where they don't reproduce as avidly (YP)

Other ideas or input on forage anyone?
