None of the worrisome deer diseases reported in my area. We have a lot of water sources which may help avoid concentrating the deer in one area, at least this is what I am hoping... Hot weather made fast processing a must. Deer went down in its tracks which helped (no tracking). Very close shot, so I did a neck shot which is tricky, but my crossbow is very accurate.
Update: Big doe hanging in the barn. If it did not have young with it, I would not have been sure it was not an antlerless buck. Went down really quick, so a very short drag, which is always a bonus for an old guy like me...
