It sure has been a strange spring here too. This time last year the pond was pushing 4 feet in visibility, this year, even using pond dye and running aeration 12 hours at night I'm still fighting a strong algae bloom. By day's end the surface is almost completely covered with that hazy film and the visibility is barely 16" now. May have to look into adding some bacteria to help get rid of the apparently heavy nutrient load the pond picked up from last fall's droppings.

That and another dose of aglime will hopefully help clear it up over time.
