I know during normal spawning activity, female BG outnumber males significantly. Its apparent in my pond as I seldom catch what I can easily call a male (using the squared eartab as reference). Is there any information that indentifies what that ratio percentage is? Is it 90% female / 10% male? Higher? Lower?
Is this ratio also seen in other species, such as LMB or RES?
.10 surface acre pond, 10.5 foot deep. SW LA. The epitome of a mutt pond. BG, LMB, GSF, RES, BH, Warmouth, Longear Sunfish, Gambusia,Mud Minnows, Crappie, and now shiners!!...I subscribe!!
