Could this be whirling disease? Reading on whirling disease and it states salmonid fish. The tails do not turn black. I have seen this in some perch too in our pond. Could the parasite live through the making of the feed? Could the minnows and perch be getting it from the feed but not allowing the cycle to be complete for the parasite?
