Jeff, I consider them more as bottom land animals. I have a bayou or what we called a nice creek when I was growing up in Okla. This Bayou is about 300 yds from the pond and it is what I consider a travel corridor for animals, birds and reptiles. Remember the alligator I had in the pond awhile back?

It's been some different weather this year so far. This time last year we saw some 22 degree weather but this year we will have temps in the high 60's and maybe 70 for the next 4 days. Bob Lusk has said that we might get some bg spawn on warm days in Feb. but I am seeing some warm days in Jan this year so I will be adding 10 Christmas trees along the shoreline today. Building some brush piles for the bg fry to insure some fry survival. Adding shoreline cover has worked in the past, hoping it will do it again. And I am taking a great-granddaughter fishing today. She is 3 and likes to catch bg from the pier.

Do not judge me by the politicians in my City, State or Federal Government.
