So a quick story from WW2.

It was so hard to get food near the end of the war and keeping it so someone ells didn't get it. Grandpa learned that with a hook and a line and small float they could catch fish eating ducks. wink wink, The line would be about 2 feet long with the hook then another 2 feet of line with a float. This was all tied to a very large rock on the bottom. This would be placed in water that was 4.5 feet deep or deeper.

When the duck would dive down and grab the bait on the hook it would swallow the bait and hook with a bunch of line. The rock was so heavy that the duck could not make it back up to the surface for air. The duck would also be deep enough that no one knew where it was under the water but grandpa who placed it.

I would not be here with out grandpa's poaching.
