Same here with the temp drop, it dropped around 20-25 degrees along with about a 4" rain so I shut the diffusers off around lunch today. Water temp was at or around 72 degrees @ 4' day before yesterday and so I saw no reason to mix up the cold rain water even though it rained all night and morning with the diffusers running at 4am till lunch before I shut things down. So really not sure if I reduced my chances of any quick temp drop in the pond.
