Hey CMM, What kind of grass is that growing in your pond? I need sumadat!! I'm virtually nill in the cover area. Want something that'll stay shallow. That stuff would work well.
Looks like American Pondweed to my untutored eye. I have some at my pond, too, though not as dense as CMM.
Ah, I thought he was talking about the taller stuff right at the shore. Yes, the floating plant is APW. I love it and don't find that it grows too deep at my place, maybe 2' or so. Maybe in very clear water it would grow deeper?
My bass and bluegill both stage under that stuff; drop a popper in or a weedless fly, wiggle it a time or two and if something doesn't hit it through the weeds, it will almost surely hit it when you get to the edge!
