Good news on the GBH front...judicious use of loud noise making projectile delivery engines managed to convince the GBHs that were making my big pond a home to move elsewhere.

Which immediately proved that nature abhors a vacuum. Within a week or so of my last GBH sighting I now have as many as 4 GWEs (Great White Egret) at any given time on the pond. And based on my reading thus far, other than the coloration and slightly less horrid call they're basically the same bird from a pond management perspective.

For some odd reason though they don't annoy me nearly as much as the GBH did. Not sure why. I'm sure that'll change the first time I see them eating a pan sized BG.
