If one could just visualize your aerator cabinet instead of the rock it would be a trail cam photo then
All joking aside I am very sorry this happened to you.
I am looking at aeration hopefully this coming year depending on if I decide to reshape the ponds next year or not. Either way eventually I will have one.
The cost of one of the units is not something to laugh at. Hopefully it can be salvaged if you can open the motor housing or just douse the thing with contact cleaner I am sure it might help.
