Dear Norm and Torchy, Thanks for the swift replies. A scarecrow might work. I noticed when I was around a lot during the holidays, the mere sight of a human sent them on their way.
I too would be interested in knowing how much damage they can really do. Populations around big bodies of water seems to be on the increase, ie, Lakes, Fork, Montecello, Bob Sandlin, etc. This affects fishing for everyone not just the Pond Meisters.
