With a large reduction in plants (likely because of more/bigger tilapia over winter) you may soon be short of food for them and the GC. Also with plants reduced visibility has improved letting you see more of what is occurring. Tilapia can spawn in most any place. Coarse sand and small gravel is an excellent medium. Location is not as important as with other fish species because they are mouth brooders.
