Hi ... I have a question for you .....

I just bought some property in the Willamette Valley in Oregon .... on it is a small stream that has been damned and has created a pond about a 1/4 mile long and 200 feet at its widest spot .. in the summer ... its center depth is around 8 to 10 feet and tapers to just inches on the edges ... in the winter it floods and becomes comes up to around 18 to 20 feet in the center .... it does not freeze in the winters , with average air temperature in the high 30's low 40's .... and summer air temperatures in the 70's to 80's ....... the water clears in the summer ... and gets muddy in the winter . The soil that surrounds the water is CM ... Claquato Silt Loam , so I assume the bottom of the pond is the same .......

The pond will have largemouth bass and hope to attract wild ducks ... I want to plant some water lilies in it . A variety if possible and maybe some other plants as there is next to nothing in it now ... What ones will grow well for me under these conditions ????

Thanks...... Doug Ramey
