Affirmative, 2# Vanish. The reel has an excellent drag system, and there wasn't anything in the pond (at least where the fish swam) to get hung up on. Luckily, the fish stayed away from any underwater vegetation that was growing around the pond edge. The only fish that I've had make longer runs were when I was fishing in saltwater off the coast of California/Mexico.
