The anchor system worked very well. It was considerably larger than yours tho - the anchors were large concrete blocks, and the counterweights were large as well. The jump had to be held in position so you hit it the same every time, whether there were waves from boats or not. That was pretty critical because a good skiier would hit it at 50 mph or more.
It'll be interesting to see how my dock floats. I've been lax in getting it done, but it will be in the water by the middle of July. I have 22 barrels under it. Walkway is 16'x4', end of pier is 12'x8'. Gangplank is 4'x16'. I figured I had to have 2 55 gal barrels and one 30 gal barrel at the end where the gangplank rested on the pier to keep it floating level.
