The board decided to go with a lighted display aerator due to the lack of the pond depth(6 ft). The gentleman who sold this told us that he could sell us as much as we wanted but advised us to stay away from bottom aeration until we get the pond cleaned out. The system will be installed in the spring and taken out in the fall. We currently have a home made aerator in the shallow end made using an old smog pump from a truck. It really works rather well and has kept the end of the pond open all winter for the last 18 years.
