Glad he's ok. He was fishing with two buddies...how the heck do they figure into the story? Sounds like he was pretty much on his own here?
On Facebook he mentioned he was 40 some feet ahead of them going to the spot they'd all agreed on. Maybe they saw him go through and couldn't bring themselves to chance it. I think I'd have a tough time not risking it myself if I saw one of my friends/family go in. I'd almost rather go with him then live with the "what if" the rest of my life.
