From what I understand sheepshead can live in fresh water.
Keep a cooler and a battery or plug in bubbler handy when you fish next time, when you catch a couple that are leagal size to keep put them in the cooler and take them home. They are very easy to acclimate, just slowly keep adding fresh water.
