Greg, when you get to that point, don't forget to take along comic books, Game Boy, and junk food. Kids can only sit still for just so long. Oh yeah, since I don't figure you will wait until they get older, don't forget extra diapers and wipes. When fishing, pick a place with lots of convenient rocks for chunking into the water. Show him/her how to skip a rock and forget about catching fish. It ain't gonna happen.
Deb, I hope your Dads health improves and can pass on the memories to your son that he did with you. At 63 YOA and 6 Grandchildren, I still think about and try to pass on my Grandparents value systems.
