A critter is whatever animal is currently vexing me in some way. I could post many different photos, or descriptions of critters, but the most important thing to remember is this: Once an animal achieves "critter" status, it may not enjoy the same lifespan as it could have, had it simply remained an "animal".
Way cool, in the future we can refer to all those "fishies" in the pond. We can avoid abbreviations.
