I'm thinking I will leave it as it is and perhaps make a small island on top of part of it for geese.
Be careful what you wish for. I believe geese brought some Eurasian Water Milfoil seeds or plant parts to my pond this Spring. I had a few plants that I erased last year, but now I have about 10% of the pond covered with the stuff. I had about 30-50 geese calling the pond home off and on for a few weeks this Spring. The no-vacancy sign is out permanently now.
